If all of the orchestra can't see you clearly; or if some of them never look at you anyway, or if your conducting skills are not sharp; or if you are tired of the traditional arangement of the Star Spangled Banner which has all those pesky ritards and fermatas - if you like music that 'moves along' or if you simply like experiments - this is an arrangement (I'm supplying only the piano part) with some fine chords and a fine bass line, by Theodore Wilson, my bass player.
I've written it in A flat, so we can all sing the high notes.
As far as I know, this sort of thing has never been done before, and, strange as it may seem and look, the listeners NEVER notice anything 'strange'.
Or, at least, they never mention it.
By the way, since you can't see this tiny image too well, there are eight meter changes.
Y'all be careful!
I use this arrangement ALL THE TIME with my various ensembles.
Print the larger image which will appear, and make an orchestration for your ensemble, if an orchestration is needed.
I printed this music using a Power Mac with MOSAIC music notation software by Mark of the Unicorn. (The music produced by MOSAIC is much cleaner than what will be reproduced after what I had to do to make the download file as small as practical.)
I'd appreciate your feedback!
